A leading United States based franchisor of educational learning centers that offer in-center and online tutoring services recently engaged Azend Technologies in supporting a long-term program of Application Modernization. The franchisor is one of the oldest providers of supplemental educational services for primary and secondary students in the USA and are a market leader in subject tutoring and exam preparation.
This franchisor commands deep respect in their sphere of operation and maintains a modern, progressive outlook to their programs and teaching methods. However, as early, pioneering entrants to the digital landscape, they are now being increasingly hindered by their aging portfolio of software applications, some of which go back to the client-server applications era in terms of architecture and design.
Modernizing this portfolio of applications is one of the key strategic objectives for the next two years for this organization, and Azend Technologies was fortunate enough to be contracted as an offshore engineering partner that would spearhead this effort technologically. Azend Technologies will support them across the software product development lifecycle, in requirements ideation, product design, development, quality assurance and DevOps activities.
Apart from proposing bleeding edge technical designs for new apps, one of the key aspects of the modernization process is the ideation of continuously emerging user requirements from center administrators, teachers and parents, and the design of fresh, ergonomic user experiences for these requirements. To this end, Azend Technologies has deployed a team of Business Analysts and UX Designers to work with the franchise’s product stakeholders and center users.
